Set amongst the dive bars and jazz jook joints of London’s Soho, we hear about the desperate hand-to-mouth finances of the early years and the frequent police raids. We hear how Ronnie's became neutral ground within rife gang territory and their scrapes with gangsters including the Krays who were rumoured to have taken Ronnie and Pete “for a little drive”! Life at Ronnie’s is evocatively re-imagined through tales of the club’s past visitors, from pop stars, film stars and politicians to comedians and royalty, but above all, the musicians.

Featuring classic music from the jazz greats who have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, alongside projected images and footage, and tales of old Soho, miscreant musicians and police raids, ‘The Ronnie Scott’s Story is a glimpse into this unique world and its incredible history.

Hosted and performed by the award-winning Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, led by the Club’s Musical Director, this is a unique evening celebrating the music and history of Ronnie Scott’s and is a must for any music fan.

Luton Library Theatre

Luton Library Theatre opened in 1962 as a lecture theatre before gradually changing to a traditional entertainment venue with 256 seats and two side aisles.

The Theatre began to build up a programme of amateur and professional drama, film, music of all types and children's events. In fact a pretty long list of events that covers almost every taste!

All of this continued through the sixties, seventies and eighties. During the nineties the seating was changed to a more modern style and colour with a centre isle with a slight rake. This meant the amount of seating had to be reduced to the current capacity of 238.

In the late nineties and early noughties, there were more changes both fabric and technical makeup of the Theatre. This brings us up to 2009, when the Library itself closed for a major refurbishment. Some improvements were made to the front of house and bar areas of the theatre, plus the introduction of a new cafe.
